We are on a mission to organize the most sustainable travel experiences in Sri Lanka.

As a responsible organization, aware of our impact on the environment, we’ve taken many initiatives to be sustainable. The carbon footprint of our operations is measured, and we are working to offset them through a mangrove-planting project. We work closely with local communities to ensure that our experiences are mutually beneficial, and we aim to preserve and celebrate local traditions through our journeys.

Apart from these broader initiatives, all of our Pepper Journeys are designed with a significant emphasis on sustainability:

Staying at Sri Lankas best organic farm includes staying at a farm that implements fair trade practices and sustainable farming techniques. Staying at this farm helps the local community as a part of profits from the farm are passed on to its employees from the community.

The journey to no man’s land is a complete trekking holiday with a very low carbon footprint. Accommodation is in local houses where contributions are made to the local community for their hospitality.

Back to basics involves staying in a local village with no electricity. You therefore  have a low carbon footprint and benefits of your stay are passed down to the villagers.

Island’s hidden canyons is an adventure that involves trekking and canyoning, travelling with a low carbon footprint. This journey is hosted by local guides.

We also ensure that any waste from our journeys is minimised and recycled whenever possible.

Join us on one of our sustainable journeys and help our initiatives preserve the landscapes and local culture of our island  of our island.
